Designed for club administrators to increase the number and breadth of the roles of women on club committees. The package includes two (2) online or face to face workshops, codesigned with the club. Training includes:

• The role of a committee
• How to run effective meetings
• Legal responsibilities
• Good decision-making processes
• Conflict resolution.

Specifically designed for women and girls in the club, this program utilises our tried and tested Changing Gippsland’s Game Model, which includes two (2) online or face to face workshops, codesigned with the club. The target audience could be committee members, captains, coaches, players, leaders and/or parents of participants.

This package includes a face visit with clubs to work through a gender equity checklist (Audit) that will help committees identify areas they can improve to be more inclusive of women and girls participation. Our team will then attend a committee meeting and facilitate a broader club workshop on the actions identified during the Audit process.

GippSport’s Positive Coaching sessions provide specific training and techniques for coaching women and girls, with a particular focus on working with youth. This program includes one (1) workshop, plus a review of your club’s existing coach contracts and other relevant documentation and policies.

Orange Round is a Gippsland campaign that makes the link to the Prevention of Violence to gender equity work in community sports clubs. This option builds on the standard Orange Round package and includes detailed club work, additional merchandise and a more targeted club campaign.

Based on GippSport’s successful Let Us Play campaign, our team will codesign with the club a women and girls targeted campaign and provide media training at one (1) committee or club workshop. We will also provide branded social media tiles, video clips and messaging.

Utilising the GippSport Gippsland Game Plan – a resource used to create safe and welcoming environment for youth girls – our team will deliver training for your club, informed by consultation with your players.

You can’t be what you can’t see, so showcasing women and girls through formal events, launches or Come and Try Events are a great way to grow participation. Often club volunteers need event expertise and additional resources to bring these events to life and our team have experience at doing just that.

Our team can support local clubs to design a development or introductory program targeted at women and girls. There many factors to consider, such as time, place and deliverer, which we can workshop with club representatives and potential program partners to ensure a successful outcome.

The target audience could be any women and girls involved in the league and/or its member clubs, including board members, committee members, coaches, volunteers and/or players (captains, leadership groups, etc.)

Development of a detailed women and girls strategy or action plan following a gender audit and a planning workshop. This will help Leagues and Umpires Associations to understand the Fair Access Policy requirements and be in the best position for future investment and the growth of women and girls participation.

We will also provide branded social media tiles, video clips and messaging.

We will utilise our leading Men as Allies Research which looks at how to engage more men into gender equality work across Regional Victoria in community sport. We will provide targeted Men as Allies Training for a league/association board/committee and its member clubs to understand their role, why it is important and the behaviors that are most effective.
