Kathleen Denny has a background in health science, communication, and leadership in the commercial and not-for-profit sectors. She takes a strength-based approach to building better communities, and is passionate about inclusive language and First Nations people. She understands the need for practical solutions to problems, as well as the need to tailor evidence-based approaches for clubs across Gippsland.
Kathleen is proud to have been one of the founding Run Directors of Inverloch parkrun, a community health initiative of free, weekly, timed, 5kms run/walks. Established in 2014, this was the first parkrun in Gippsland and only the 12th in Victoria. Since then, Kathleen has volunteered, walked, and run, in over 150 parkruns across five countries, including all seven of Australia’s states and territories. Kathleen started playing, umpiring, and coaching netball over 15 years ago. More recently, her tennis team recently reached the grand final of Westernport Tennis Club’s 2023 women’s competition.
